What is HUSKAR?
HUSKAR is a cloud resource management platform that automates the start/stop scheduling of your AWS and Azure resources, helping you save up to 70% on cloud costs.
Which cloud providers are supported?
AWS (EC2, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, EKS Clusters, EKS Node Groups) and Azure (Virtual Machines).
How much can I save?
Most customers save 40-70% on development and non-production environments by automatically stopping resources during off-hours.
Is it secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and never store your cloud credentials in plain text.
How quickly does it work?
Initial setup takes 5 minutes, resource discovery 5-10 minutes, and schedule execution runs every 5-10 minutes.
Do I need to install anything?
No. HUSKAR is a cloud-based SaaS platform. Just connect your cloud accounts and start using it.
Getting Started 4 items
How do I connect my AWS account?
Go to Cloud Accounts → Add Account → Select AWS → Enter your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. That's it!
How do I connect my Azure account?
Click Add Azure Account → You'll be redirected to Microsoft login → Grant permissions → Enter your Subscription ID.
How long until I see my resources?
Initial sync takes 5-10 minutes. You'll get a notification when it's complete.
Can I connect multiple cloud accounts?
Yes! You can connect multiple AWS and Azure accounts to one HUSKAR organization.
Scheduling 5 items
How do schedules work?
Create a schedule with hour-by-hour settings for each day. Resources automatically start/stop based on your schedule.
How often are schedules checked?
Every 5-10 minutes. If a resource doesn't match the schedule, it's automatically adjusted.
Can I schedule different resources differently?
Yes! Each resource can have its own schedule, or multiple resources can share one schedule.
What if I manually start a resource that's scheduled to be off?
It will start immediately. On the next schedule check (5-10 min), if the schedule says 'off', it will stop automatically.
Can I temporarily disable a schedule?
Yes, just detach the schedule from resources. The schedule stays saved for later use.
Cost & Savings 4 items
How are savings calculated?
Savings = (Hours Stopped) × (Cost Per Hour). We track actual usage and use current cloud provider pricing.
When do I see savings?
Savings are calculated in real-time and visible immediately after resources are stopped.
What's included in savings?
Compute costs (what you save when resources are stopped). Storage costs continue even when stopped.
Can I see savings by schedule?
Yes! You can see total savings, schedule-based savings, and manual action savings separately.

Which AWS services can I manage?
EC2 instances, RDS databases, Elastic Beanstalk environments, EKS clusters, and EKS node groups.
Which Azure services can I manage?
Virtual Machines (VMs).
Can I manually start/stop resources?
Yes! Manual controls work alongside schedules. All actions are logged.
What happens to deleted resources?
Resources deleted in your cloud provider are automatically removed from HUSKAR within 5-10 minutes.
Can I bulk manage resources?
Yes! Select multiple resources and start/stop them all at once.
Monitoring 3 items
What metrics are tracked?
CPU, Memory, Network traffic, and service-specific metrics (database connections, request counts, etc.).
How often are metrics updated?
Every 30-60 minutes, depending on your environment.
How long is metrics data stored?
Indefinitely. View historical data for any time period.

Can multiple team members use HUSKAR?
Yes! Invite team members with different roles (Owner, Admin, DevOps, Viewer).
What are the different roles?
Owner/Admin: Full access; DevOps: Can manage resources and schedules; Viewer: Read-only access.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Credentials are encrypted, all communications use HTTPS, and we follow industry security best practices.
Who can see my resources?
Only users in your organization. Resources are isolated by organization.
Troubleshooting 4 items
My resource isn't starting/stopping. What's wrong?
Check the resource logs for errors. Common issues include invalid credentials, insufficient permissions, or the resource being in an intermediate state.
Why is my cloud account showing 'Failed'?
Usually due to expired or invalid credentials. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the account.
Resources aren't syncing. Help!
Check cloud account connection status, verify credentials, or try manually triggering a sync. Contact support if issues persist.
Why aren't cost savings showing?
Ensure the resource has a schedule attached, has been stopped at least once, and wait for the next calculation cycle.
Billing 3 items
How does billing work?
Subscription-based. Manage your plan and billing in the Billing section of your account.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime. Changes take effect immediately.
